Warner Ranch 2008 Photography Workshop
Summer Workshop June 28th to June 30th, 2008
Our plan is
to spend five days with you photographing Montana Rodeo, Ranch life and
our spacious Landscapes. Our tentative plan is to attend the Augusta
Rodeo 40 miles west of the ranch. There we will have a golden
opportunity to shoot the action of the event and all that surrounds it.
The arena has many very good areas to photograph from and is a place
many photographers like. It’s been said here in Montana that the
Augusta Rodeo is the” biggest one day show”. Also on the
agenda is to visit a larger working ranch south of here, which is
located near the town of Cascade. There we will see through our lens
the open spaces and character of the West. We will be able to shoot
surrounding landscapes and cowboy imagery.
All you need to bring is your camera and personal
items. All film is supplied, including paper and chemicals. You
will stay here at the ranch and all meals will be home cooked. This is
included in the fee. Great Falls International Airport is our closest
airport and all you need to do is tell us when you will arrive and
we will be there to pick you up.
Time will be spent working in the Darkroom. My Darkroom
is about 12 X 11 feet and will accommodate from 4 to 5 people. There is
limited space available due mainly because of the darkroom and
accommodations. All the participants will have unlimited access
to use the darkroom while we are here at the ranch. There is ample
equipment for all participants.
Previous years photographers who attended the workshop
would be glad to visit with you about their experience. They are Anna
Marie Witham 406-684-5285 and Vonda Harrison 406-264-5431.
Both photos on this page were taken by Anna Maria Witham during previous
year's Workshop.
